A CuddleCot is what we call the gift of time for bereaved parents after their baby has been delivered stillborn, passed away shortly after birth or in the NICU. It is a special cooling bassinet system that slows the deterioration process after a demise to allow parents more time before saying goodbye. It is internationally recognized as an important medical device to help bereaved parents in those immediate hours and days of their grief. Each CuddleCot is $3,000 and comes with the cooling system, a hospital-approved bassinet, bassinet stand, and remembrance plaque.

To date, One Wing Foundation has been able to donate CuddleCots to the following hospitals:

• Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas Labor & Delivery in memory of Olivia Aldredge (2016) and the NICU (2017)

• William P. Clements University Hospital at UT Southwestern Labor & Delivery in memory of Austin White (2016)

• Parkland Hospital Labor & Delivery (2017) and the NICU (2018)

• Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Frisco NICU in Memory of Easton Baumann (2020)

• Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Grapevine Labor & Delivery (2018)

• Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Irving Labor & Delivery in Memory of Chloe White and in Honor of Macy Sullivan (2020)

• Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Waxahachie Labor & Delivery (2019)

• Texas Children's Hospital NICU (2019)

Through our annual CuddleCot Campaign, we raise money separate from our grant funds to answer the call for this specific need. Additionally, this can be a special way that families can fundraise and create a Legacy of Love by donating one in their baby's memory through One Wing Foundation.
